DEWALT 18V with NANO Technology features exclusive batteries designed with unique Nano-Phosphate lithium Ion cells that provide increased battery durability and cycle life, offering 2,000 recharges.*

The exclusive 18V Nano-Phosphate Lithium Ion batteries are compatible with the existing 32-tool system of DeWALT 18V tools, providing increased versatility and the ability to select the best chemistry to meet jobsite needs.

NANO™ Technology is a proprietary technology from DeWALT that delivers longer cycle life, lighter weight, greater performance and an expanded system of tool offerings.  The introduction of this technology reinforces the DeWALT commitment to providing professional contractors with a breadth of tool offerings that deliver the performance they need in an ergonomic package.

The 18V system will expand to include a new 18V Hammerdrill (DC927) and an 18V Impact Driver (DC827).

The new Hammerdrill is equipped with a heavy-duty ½” self-tightening chuck, providing increased bit retention.  The Hammerdrill also features: a patented three-speed, all-metal transmission for increased versatility and improved handle design for maximum performance and improved comfort.   The Impact Driver features a frameless motor, making the unit shorter and more compact, plus a LED work light.

The new tools come with an innovative charger capable of charging 7.2V – 18V NiCd, NiMH and Li-Ion batteries.

“With the popularity of 18V among professional contractors, DeWALT wanted to offer a premium 18V option that would be lighter and provide enhanced performance features,” says Nigel Owen, Brand Manager DEWALT NZ.

“With millions of users invested in the DeWALT 18V system, we designed the new premium NANOTM 18V tools to be compatible with our current 18V system, allowing our user base to easily expand and upgrade their existing family of tools. This further underscores our commitment to developing new technologies that meet users’ needs on the jobsite.”

DeWALT offer two additional cordless platforms with Nano™ Technology; 36V and 18V, providing an extensive range of power tools that satisfy a wide scope of user demands on the jobsite.
